Strengthening the socio-cultural relations between the two countries, the Namaste Thailand Film Festival returns after two years with a riveting bouquet of 10 films. By Team Viva
Following a dull break of two years, Namaste Thailand Film Festival (NTFF) has returned and is turning digital for enthusiastic spectators all across the country this year. Each of the 10 films has garnered about 1,000 entries and will prove to be a treat for the viewers. The selected films will be screened in Thai with English subtitles. They will be available for free during the three-day festival that is known to celebrate love, unity and diversity among diverse cultures and individuals.
The virtual audience can enjoy the curation round-the-clock on the online platform called Festival Scope from August 20 to 22. In addition, the viewers also stand a chance to win exciting prizes during the festival by watching the films online and participating in the activities to be held on NTFF’s Facebook and Instagram handles.
Thailand and India are connected by a shared socio-cultural heritage. The annual film festival made its debut in 2017 on the 70th anniversary of Thailand-India diplomatic relations. Thus, Namaste Thailand 2021 will be the fourth edition of the annual Thai Film Festival, hosted by the Royal Thai Embassy in New Delhi.
