Ardent lovers of Krishna are finding new ways of rediscovering him
Utthan Samiti, a social organisation, is presenting “Krishna Utsav” to celebrate the birthday of Krishna on August 24 and 25 at Triveni Kala Sangam. On the opening day Namrrta Raai (kathak) and Ajay Prasanna (flute) will perform and on 25 Vidhi Sharma (vocal) and Gaurav Mazumdar (sitar) will be on stage.
The artistes for the show were selected by a panel of experts. Namrrta Raai is a renowned kathak exponent, and Ajay Prasanna is a musician with a great sense of aesthetics. Vidhi Sharma is a trained vocalist who will recite Krishna bhajans whereas Gaurav Mazumdar is a disciple of pandit Ravi Shankar and has been performing all over the world for many years now.

It is an integral part of our great civilisation that we celebrate every occasion with music and dance”, says Satendra Singh, Chairman, Utthan Samiti.
