A dream come true

Pallavi Gupta

American rapper and singer Redfoo rocked the city with his pop music. Pallavi Gupta couldn’t stop grooving to his hit tracks

This has been a dream to perform in India, you guys are the heart of the party. India knows how to party and I love Bollywood!” said Redfoo as he greeted the crowd in his trademark rapper gear.

lMFAO’s Redfoo aka Stefan Kendal, American singer, dancer, DJ and rapper Gordy gave fans a taste of his poptastic music. The music drove the crowd crazy with every passing moment at Kingdom of Dreams. Nothing could deter the fun of Redfoo with his laFreak crew from entertaining his rock music fans.

The off and on rain rather seemed to add a taste to the freakiness of the music. The show though did start late because of the erratic drizzles but once the rapper made his appearance on the stage there was no turning back on the “fun quotient”. Flashes of varied lights hit the place as Redfoo started his rapping.

With his tracks let’s Get Ridiculous, Party Rock Anthem, Sexy and I Know It, I Am In Miami Bitch, Champagne Showers and more, he transformed the venue into a electro-gaga-disco box.

With every set played, the excitement just multiplied. The colourful hip hop dressed crew members danced with all the enthusiasm of the world to cheer the already absorbed in laFreak’s pop music audience. Using signature props of zebra and other regular ones Redfoo captured the undivided attention of his fans. The props were tossed away in the rushed crowd.

Nidhi, a 18-year-old said, “This is just amazing! I was eagerly waiting for this. The rain gave me a panic attack because I thought they may cancel the event but howsoever the wait was worth it. I and my girlfriends are just too tired dancing but I know another hit song on play and we will dance again.”

With Redfoo nothing is extreme. More wacky than usual Redfoo splashed champagne on the hysterical crowd and by the end of his performance stripped down and sang in his underwear. However, his performance tingled the feet and wooed the fans. On wrapping up the crowd just had the perfect contended-tired look, the place for those few hours was undoubtedly a party planet. “I used to do stand up comedy. I always love to do that stuff so I just kind of do it, I put my fun character into the music and I do the videos,” he said.
