Irrfan to star in The Ministry
Amazon Prime Video today confirmed that Irrfan Khan has been signed on as the lead actor for its new original series – The Ministry.
Created by Gursimran Khamba of AIB, The Ministry is a political satire set in contemporary India's corridors of power, and is set to launch globally in 2018 exclusively. With this collaboration, Irrfan Khan is geared to leave yet another global imprint across 200 countries and territories.
Elated about the announcement, Khan said, “I am looking forward to this great collaboration with Amazon and AIB – both have content that makes me very excited to work with them. It will be a great experience to be working on this show which will be very topical and funny.”

Former Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts says she has been “broody” since the age of 18.
The 32-year-old says she “absolutely adores” children and ever since she was a teenager, she has been desperate to have children of her own. “I've been broody since I was 18. I absolutely adore kids and kids love me,” Roberts shared.
Kadvi Hawa has a social message
Actor Ajay Devgn has also taken to social messaging as he endorsed India's first film on climate change called Kadvi Hawa, revealing its first look.
The director, Nila Madhab Panda is elated with the goodwill the film is already generating among audiences and policy makers alike. “This is my little way of thinking about our Mother Earth! We all have a responsibility towards this planet. let us spread the message of the sense of urgency that climate change is real, even though some leaders of the free world think it is a hoax. We are extremely grateful to Erik Solheim and his team at the UN, I hope with their support, we will be able to bring a change in the mindsets of people. Kadvi Hawa is the most special film of my life, and I can't wait to bring it to our audiences come November.”
Kadvi Hawa is slated for a Pan-India release on November 24.
