A step forward
Various joint development related issues were discussed at a meeting between senior officials of NF Railway and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation limited (HPCl) at Maligaon.
Rajen Gohain, Minister of State for Railways conducted the discussion, while HPCl team was led by Sukumar Nandy, National Head, lPG Operations. Chahatey Ram General Manager, NF Railway along with other senior officials represented NF Railway.
Strategic planning
Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) has prepared strategic disinvestment plan as per the decision of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), Government of India for various PSEs including NMDC’S steel plant (NISP), Nagarnar, Chhattisgarh. It will be used to clarify the preliminary activities, appointment of transaction advisor, legal advisor and asset valuer for NISP has been completed.
Assam Rifles awarded
Assam Rifles, the oldest para military force of India, with its diversified role of guarding the North Eastern borders, conducting counter-insurgency operations, helping the Civil Administration in maintaining peace and stability as well as in bringing succor to the people of North East, was awarded the ‘Pride of Nation Award 2016’ by the All India Council of Human Rights liberties and Social Justice (AICHlS) on the occasion of International Human Rights Day, in recognition of the Force’s outstanding contribution to peace, harmony, protecting and promoting human rights at Headquarters Directorate General Assam Rifles, Shillong. Assam Rifles is the first para military force to receive this prestigious award.
lieutenant general, Shokin Chauhan, YSM, SM, VSM, DG Assam Rifles, accepted the award on behalf of the force from Tathagat Roy, governor of Tripura and dedicated the award to all officers, JCOs and OR who continue to tirelessly serve the Nation.
The grand success
India’s biggest integrated house wares and appliances trade fair- 2nd Vibrant India 2017 concluded with a grand success at Pragati Maidan. The show was full of visitors, exhibitors and traders who had a good time trading their products.
During the show an award night ceremony was also organised in which the stalls with best cookeries and utensils were honored. During the ceremony a dance performance was also displayed by a group of dancers.
Among those who received the award were the founder of Shree and Sam Jagdamba cutlery, Pawan Kansal, PNB stall, Parkash presses, cook, max fresh, Komal stainless steel. With organiser of event Pawan Kansal of Jagdamba cutlery and many renowned personalities were also present.
24 Hours medical assistance
Vasundhara Enclave Residents Welfare Association (VERWA) recently had a meeting with the senior level management of Dharamshila Narayana Hridayalaya, Vasundhara enclave. The VERWA delegation emphasised on the need of a 24 hour emergency and causality services, full fledged OPD, issuance of medical cards, offering discounts to senior citizens, conducting health awareness camps. VERWA delegation offered them all assistance in making the people of Vasndhara Enclave aware of the facilities that would be offered by the new management of hospital.
