‘Filmmakers reflect the truth’

Rahul Bose said filmmakers always reflect the truth of the society through thier projects.

“In the past or today, filmmakers always react to what society tells us. Every age gives a response. In this particular age, the awareness for gender violence is increasing and according to that there will be more films seen in future on this issue,” he said.

Rahul also feels that “there are some actresses in the film industry who stand out for their strength, like Konkona Sen Sharma or Radhika Apte, there is Shabana Azmi and Waheeda Rehman ji.”

‘Filmmakers in 50s and 60s, created art. Today, it's a business and all about numbers. Everything is thrown at our face. People have forgotten subtlety. Open display of affection is considered smart. Sharam naam ki toh cheese hee nahi hai (people are no longer ashamed).’| Jaya Bachchan
