Farhan - Adhuna headed for splits
Actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar and his wife of 15 years, Adhuna Akhtar announced their decision to separate ‘mutually and amicably’. “This is to announce that we, (Adhuna and Farhan), have mutually and amicably decided to separate. Our children remain our priority and it is immensely important to us, as responsible parents, that they be protected from unwarranted speculations and public glare,” read a joint statement issued by the Akhtars.
“We sincerely request that we are given the privacy that is required at this time to move forward in a dignified manner,” the statement read further.
Farhan, 42, is the son of Javed Akhtar and his former wife Honey Irani, and Adhuna, six years older to the actor, is a celebrity hairstylist. They exchanged wedding vows in 2000 and have two daughters together named Shakya and Akira.

Filmmaker Prakash Jha, who had wanted to become a MP but failed, says he no longer desires to associate with any political party.
“I have no interest in becoming a part of any political ideology or party,” Jha told the media.
“I wanted to become an MP because I thought these people who are in a position have access to resources. They do not use their position for the benefit of people. If you organise yourself, you can do a lot,” he said.
Jha lost the lok Sabha election from Bettiah in Bihar in 2014 as a Janata Dal-United candidate. He unsuccessfully contested as an independent in 2004 and on a lJP ticket in 2009 from the same constituency.
You’ve to keep going: Holmes
Actress Katie Holmes, who divorced actor Tom Cruise in 2012, says that you have to keep going on in life and one should always focus on positive things.
The actress, who is rumoured to be dating actor Jamie Foxx, spoke about her life after splitting from Cruise and how she gained her confidence.
“You’ve got to keep going. In every part of your life. Focus on the positive. Stay creative. Go to things that interest you. Do work that’s fulfilling. Challenge yourself. What’s amazing about the human spirit, there are so many people doing inspiring things,” Holmes said in an statement. “If you focus on that, it makes your life richer,” the 37-year-old actress said. She was married to Cruise for five years and has nine-year-old daughter Suri with him. When asked about her current love life, she said, “That’s not something I want to answer...I don’t have a five or 10 year plan.”
