One of the missions of Airports Authority of India (AAI) is to achieve highest standards of quality in airport management for total customer satisfaction. In order to achieve this mission, the organisation has been continuously striving taking along all its dedicated manpower, the effect of which is often gets reflected in Passenger/Visitor’s suggestion form.
One such commendation it received recently was from a passenger DR Balakrishna at Mangalore Airport. Balakrishna is of the view that all facilities provided by AAI from cleanliness to infrastructure are world class. Extracts of his appreciation are, “Keep it up AAI! Thumbs up! I am a native and resident of Bangalore. Though facilities at Bangalore airport is good, it comes with exorbitant user development fees charged by Private Player (GVK.) I travelled for first time to Mangalore airport, all facilities including cleanliness, infrastructure are truly world class and I would love to visit such airports more often like these.”
Such commendations from general public definitely serve a moral booster for all our employees and encourage us to improve further as the organisation believes that what other says is an ornament for AAI.
In the smooth running of aircrafts, the role of the authority is often unnoticed, as most of the tasks that it undertakes are ‘behind the scene’ work. Passengers often consider the jobs performed by AAI as that of airlines resulting in ‘Nil’ publicity for the organisation. It comes into picture only when there is a complaint and the complainant is usually guided by airlines or other stakeholders for lodging complaint with AAI.
