‘I rarely give my best in movies’
Amanda Seyfried says that she “rarely” gives her best in films. The 29-year-old is currently starring in off-Broadway show The Way We Get By and admits she works much harder on stage than on screen. “I don't want to give anything but my best, and in films I rarely give my best,” said the actress.
The lovelace star also said that while one can “hide laziness” in films, it is difficult to do that on stage. “You can hide laziness in film but you cannot hide that on stage. You seriously do not want to do that to people who have spent $100-400 on a ticket to see you. You want to tell the story,” she said. Seyfried also admits that working in theatre is “tough” and requires a lot of sacrifices.
