‘Why do we target cinemaIJ’
The hype around the film pk, uproar over AIB Roast show and the censor board circular on cuss words has left actress Kareena Kapoor perplexed. She questions why cinema is being targeted when there are much bigger issues to tackle in India. “I don’t know why are we after cinema. There are greater problems that we need to change first in Indian society,” she said. The actress also noted that the mindset of people needs to change to overcome hurdles in society. “There are graver issues to focus on like illiteracy and poverty around us rather than discussing AIB or what should we do in films. Thinking of Indians needs to be changed and that will only happen when we solve issues like illiteracy and poverty,” the 34-year-old added.
I will always be open for every kind of creative opportunity that might come my way. So, in near future if a TV show that has a good story comes my way, I would be open for sure. I am definitely open to do TV shows, provided it’s something interesting | Anushka Sharma
Rapper Kanye West has blasted his former lover Amber Rose, saying he took “thirty showers” after dating her before getting on with Kim Kardashian West. Kanye's former lover had launched a war of words against his wife Kim and her family. “She's just soaking in the moment... If Kim had dated me when I first wanted to be with her, there wouldn't be Amber Rose. It's very hard for a woman to want to be with someone that's with Amber Rose. I had to take like 30 showers before I got with Kim... Don't ask me anymore, I want to be respectful (sic),” Kanye tweeted. The hitmaker believes his wife's “power” stems from her body and has defended her recent naked photoshoots, including where she posed nude for a magazine.
Sean is inspired by French films
Actor Sean Penn, who received an honorary Cesar Award from the French film industry, feels honoured to be felicitated by those who provide him “inspiration and encouragement.” After an emotional introduction from a crying Marion Cotillard, who called the actor an “idealist” and a “rebel (who) questions the world and society” in his work and life, Penn said he was inspired by French film while growing up as a teen in the 1960s. He continues to be encouraged by the independence of French cinema. “It's been kind of a refuge when things get too cynical in what we do. Artistes are encouraging to each other to sustain a vivid industry, which we saw so briefly in American cinema,” he said.
