No make-up for Big B in Yudh

Amitabh Bachchan will be seen without make-up in his much awaited TV show Yudh. The 71-year-old actor plays the character of a real estate baron, Yudhisthir Sikarwar, in the forthcoming show.

Anurag Kashyap, the creative director of the show, took a deliberate decision of ‘no makeup' for the artists and the entire cast welcomed it. “Keeping in mind that it was a directorial decision to make visuals look as real-life as possible, it was essential that the actors looked natural. That helped in the way our scenes were lit up and there were no special efforts to conceal defects, if any, on our faces. These factors work well in the overall look of the product,” said Bachchan. The show is likely to go on air from mid-July on Sony Entertainment Television.

Singer lionel Richie bagged the lifetime Achievement award.

Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr's son has been arrested on suspicion of cocaine possession. Indio Downey, who is son of Robert and his ex-wife Deborah Falconer, was detained by police on Sunday in West Hollywood, California. The 20-year-old was a passenger in a car which was pulled over by police, and he was allegedly found in possession of the drug following a search. He was arrested and taken to a local police station where he was booked on the drug charge. Indio was released in the early hours of Monda on $10,250 bail.

Knightley loves The Godfather

Actress Keira Knightley says when she was growing up, she always saw herself as the “main guy” in the movie The Godfather rather than the leading man's wife.

“My friend was saying she loved 1970s movies, and we both realised that's because we see ourselves as the main guys in them. When I watched The Godfather, I was Al Pacino. I wasn't his f***king wife,” she said.

“It's interesting that there's still this funny construction of femininity. So, yes, it's nice working with women, because then you don't have to do this lovable, soft version of what the female sex has to be. It also allows men to understand women, as opposed to them being something pink and fluffy,” she added.

The 1972 American crime film was directed by Francis Ford Coppola. Based on Puzo's 1969 novel of the same name, the film also starred Marlon Brando.
