Artist Ritu Gupta is showing her latest collection at the Hotel Galaxy Shopping & Spa. Visual Expressions draws inspiration from nature and mythology. Talking about her works, she says, “Figures in my paintings display a certain kind of pallid beauty.
In addition to using charcoal and oil colours for facial forms, I use water colours for the landscapes. My colour selections are always in perfect distinction to adroit and intensely brilliant illustrations. In my repertoire hues amplify the feelings of characters presented on canvasses .”
The components in her paintings are linked with each other using vibrant figures and vivid facial expressions. They usually evoke an overwhelming sense of togetherness between different elements in her work.
