The 23nd annual function of Bal Bhavan was held at Dr BR Ambedkar Auditorium at NTPC Township in Korba recently. Prakash Tiwari, Group GM, NTPC Korba graced the occasion. Tiwari in his address lauded the initiatives of Bal Bhavan, especially the members of ladies club, in bringing up the institution to this level.
He also appealed the Bal Bhavan fraternity and the audience to help increase the strength of the institution by opting for it in more numbers.
Dipanwita Mukherjee, Vice-president, Maitri Mahila Samiti, presented the welcomed address while Chandrasekhar, in-charge, Bal Bhavan presented the annual report. Children of Bal Bhavan put up their performance including Saraswati Vandana, Bollywood dance and Chandalika (a dance drama) as part of the cultural programme held on this occasion.
Among others, Ram Das, GM (operation), S Mukherjee, GM (maintenance), Seema Tiwari, president, MMS, Mukherjee and Snehalata Ram Das, vice-presidents, members of ladies club, employees and their families, representatives of unions/associations were present. Punni Viswakarma anchored the programme.
