The Quality Circle team of Bolani Ores Mines of Steel Authority of India limited has bagged the prestigious Quality Circle Award at Taipei, Taiwan. The six-member team ‘Indradhanush’ received the “Excellent” grade — the highest rating for its innovative project on ‘Eliminating overloading problem of conveyor lC-2’ at Bolani Ores Mines.
600 quality circle teams, including five from SAIl, represented 13 Asian and African countries in the International Convention on QC Circles (ICQCC-2013) during October 22-25. The project of ‘Indradhanush’ has eliminated iron ore wagon overloading problem at Bolani Ores Mines. It also earned financial gain over `5 crore. Rabindra Kisan, Assistant Manager, Bolani Ores Mines, leads the team having members J Mahanta, B K Jena, T K Acharya, S K Mahapatra and P K Roy.
