Dogra composes Bollywood track
Singer-actress Monica Dogra, who has been associated with the country's indie music scene will now compose her first Bollywood track for the forthcoming Sabal Singh Shekhawat's Fireflies. Monica also plays the lead role in the film with Rahul Khanna. The song is said to be soulful and true to her trademark style.
Confirming this, Monica said, “When Fireflies happened, I had written a few songs and got the director to hear them. Sabal loved them and asked me to use them in the movie. So, I decided why not. What better way to combine all three of my loves together — acting, singing and composing music.” Apart from being a popular independent artist, Monica has earlier lent her vocals to Dooriyan bhi hai zaroori from the film Break Ke Baad

For her role in Ram leela, Deepika Padukone watched all of Sanjay leela Bhansali'a films. She got inspired by the way the female characters have always been portrayed in his films. She was mesmerised by Nandini's character in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and by Paro and Chandramukhi's character in Devdas. Commenting on this, Deepika stated, “I've watched all of Sanjay’s films and each one of his characters have been special and memorable. Having said that, every character has its own life and journey and I hope leela is as loved and remembered as them.”
