Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was recently spotted at a longines event in her slim avatar. I Kaur reports

One thing she can never go wrong with is her traditional look. And Aishwarya Rai Bachchan impressed her fans again, this time in her slim avatar. At a recent longines event, the actress was in a black and red lehenga. Sparkling eyes and perfect hairdo completed the signature look.

Celebrating the 135th year of the watch brand’s existence in India, longines organised a contest in search of their oldest watch. While giving away the award to Khurshed Poonawala, the winner of the contest owning an 1884 model, the brand ambassador, Aishwarya said, “I have been associated with longines since 14 years. I have always felt that watches carry immense amount of sentimental value. When the contest came about I had no idea how it was being conducted, but I knew one thing that there was a lot of commitment behind this. This is because every timepiece carries a unique story. My first longines was in 1994 and I am definitely going to pass it down to my generations.”

Mohammed Massod who won the second prize for owning a watch model dated 1894, was floored when he saw Aishwarya on stage. So much so that it took the man atleast 10 minutes to believe that he was standing with her. Ash commented, “This is like going down the memory lane.”

Vilas Naik’s two paintings — one of a pocket watch and the other of Aishwarya Rai next to a horse — were also unveiled at the event.
