Farhan believes in fair play
Actor-director Farhan Akhtar, whose father-scriptwriter Javed has been embroiled in a legal battle with those remaking Zanjeer, says the right way to go about remakes is to take the consent of those associated with the original.
The remake of the 1973 Amitabh Bachchan-Jaya starrer has been in news regarding copyright and royalty issues. He said, “I have remade a film called Don and for that I had acquired rights from the producers and taken permission from writers. This is in my understanding is the right way to go about it. Everybody has their own way. The case is in court. I am sure they will decide who is right and who is wrong.”

A collection of paintings, photographs and a sculpture and a tapestry inspired by supermodel Kate Moss are to be auctioned Sep 25, said art dealer Christie's. Moss appeared in a silver suit, posing with the art works in front of photographers, reported Xinhua. “She was supportive and thrilled to see the works coming together and up for sale,” said Philippe Garner, director of photographs from Christie's, who noted that this is the first time they have an auction devoted to a modern icon.
Sofiatops the Forbes’ list
Modern Family star Sofia Vergara has bagged the top spot for highest-paid television actress of 2013, as per Forbes magazine's annual list. The 41-year-old actress nabbed the title for the second year in a row, earning an estimated $30 million between June 2012 and 2013. Vergara earned from her show, her endorsement deals with various brands and her clothing line. Her total earning last year was $19 million. The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco and law & Order: Special Victims Unit longtime cast member Mariska Hargitay have landed the second spot with $11 million each. Tina Fey, former reality TV star Bethenny Frankel, the Kardashian sisters, Melissa McCarthy and Ellen Pompeo are all tied for fourth
place on the new rich list with $10 million.
