Aish at london charity concert

After a show at Cannes, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will join singing stars Madonna and Beyonce at a mega charity concert in london next month. Rai, who will be joined by Abhishek Bachchan, has been confirmed as a celebrity presenter at the Chime for Change event on June 1 aimed at raising funds and awareness for women's rights and empowerment. “I am happy that amazing artists and presenters have come together to support Chime For Change. Our goal is to have a great time together while we unite and strengthen the voices of women around the world,” said Beyonce, concert director and co-founder of Chime for Change.

My father has been an inspiration for me. Even at this time, he does so much hard work and has so much dedication. He has the same enthusiasm that a newcomer has for his work and that has been very inspiring for me

Michael Douglas wept at Cannes as he recounted how director Steven Soderbergh waited for the Oscar-winning actor to recover from throat cancer so he could star as flamboyant pianist liberace in Behind the Candelabra. “For me this... it was right after my cancer. This beautiful gift was handed to me. I'm eternally grateful to Steven, Matt and Jerry,” a tearful Douglas said. Made for US cable network HBO Behind the Candelabra screened in competition at the Cannes and is set for limited theatrical release in Europe.

Jolie’s story made Aniston cry

Actress Jennifer Aniston reportedly cried after reading about her former husband Brad Pitt's current partner Angelina Jolie's double mastectomy. Aniston was upset after she learnt that Jolie had both her breasts removed after finding out that she had an 87 per cent chance of developing breast cancer. “She was moved beyond belief reading Angelina's story. It really took her by surprise how brave she is. To go through such a major thing for all her family has made Jen realise that regardless of how they hooked up, Angelina does really love Brad and their six kids,” femalefirst.co.uk quoted a source as saying. Aniston had split from actor-husband Brad Pitt in 2005, after which Pitt started dating Jolie. The source added: “Jen got hurt when Brad left her  but she's it now.”
