After breaking through and successfully serving Delhi for a decade, The China Kitchen at Hyatt Regency, Delhi kickstarts its 10th anniversary with two months of celebrations and festivities. So while you grab the celebratory offers, let us recapitulate why we still love it so much.
The China Kitchen is a contemporary Chinese restaurant that introduced Delhi to the first-of-its-kind kitchen-dining experience that brings an unexpected dimension to your traditional dining experience.
With over six speciality chefs, the restaurant offers the perfect introduction to authentic Chinese cuisine with an emphasis on fresh ingredients.
After breaking through and successfully introducing an authentic Chinese menu, it rides the crest of its best-seller — the Peking duck. It is the legacy of the restaurant and is a long-standing favourite and brings exclusivity to the menu. Such is the attention to detail that one chef is entirely devoted to getting the duck right, crispy wafer skin on top with a burst of moist and turgid meat beneath. The chef carves the duck himself and doesn’t let anybody touch it.
With the Executive Chef Ivan Chieregatti and his brigade of highly skilled six chefs, who do not speak English but are still well-connected, it’s magic. Each is a craftsman in his own right and has geared up to recreate the magic of authentic Chinese.
The China Kitchen’s menu includes a variety of choices for vegetarians. There are 31 varieties of dumpling and creative interpretations of dessert, bringing a distinctive menu to the city’s existing Chinese food scene, and offering the guests a break from the norm.
The China Kitchen prides itself on using farm-fresh ingredients and bullet chillies that are imported from Beijing, which is crafted under the direct supervision of masterchefs.
The restaurant provides an immaculate introduction to authentic Chinese cuisine accompanied by an excellent selection of wines and Chinese beverages.
located adjacent to the pool, The China Kitchen comprises four distinctive components: an open kitchen that is encountered immediately on entering the restaurant; five skillfully designed private dining rooms; the wine wall and tea bar; and the dining area. This restaurant embodies Hyatt’s innovative vision and confirms its position at the forefront of the city’s culinary evolution.
The private dining rooms, a unique high point of the restaurant, have been named after the provinces of China, which incidentally also point to the chefs’ origins — Sichuan, Hubei, Guangzhou, Anhui and Hunan. Each room offers diners special cuisine, as well as a music menu and one of the rooms also features karaoke equipment.
Did we tell you that the desserts on offer are quite to die forIJ Cognac Chocolate, Cigar Chocolate Fondue and Mango Coconut Cre’me brulee are among the desserts China Kitchen is known for.
