In the wake of the present pandemic situation, the Kolkata Metro Railway has taken several initiatives to make commuters aware about the importance of the use of mask in station premises and trains. Posters and banners are being displayed at all Metro stations and frequent announcements are being made through the Public Address System requesting passengers to wear mask properly, sanitise their hands at a regular interval and maintain social distancing in the Metro premises.
The Metro RPF and other station staff have been conducting ‘No Mask - No Metro’ campaign at Metro platforms and also inside the running Metros. They are requesting all commuters to wear mask and co-operate with the Metro Authority to fight against the spread of COVID-19 virus. The commuters are appreciating this campaign taken up by the Metro.
