BJP in 19, Congress in 7 and JDs in 2 constituencies lading in Karnataka . BJP is ahead in all the three constituencies in Bangalore ( South , North and Central) Bijapur, Dharwad, Bellary, Belgaum, Chikkaballpura, Shimoga, Mysore, Bagalkote, Bidar, Koppala, Uttara Kannada, Davanagere, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi Chikkamagalur, Haver and in Chikkodi. Congress is leading in Bangalore Rural, Chamarajanagara, Gulbarga, Kolar, Tumkur,Chitradurga, Raichur and JDs in Hassan and Mandya.
BJP state President Prahlad Joshi has established lead in Dharwad . In Bangalore South Ananth Kumar established lead over high profile IT czar Nandan Nilekani. Former BJP chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda also leading in Bangalore North. BJP’ sitting MP Pc Mohan was also leading. Close aide of Yeddyurappa Shobha Karandajle was leading in Udupi- Chikkamagalur. In Shimoga Yeddyurappa established a clear lead.
Union Ministers Mallikharjuna Kharge and Muniyappa were leading. Veerappa Moily was trailing in Chikkaballpura.
