The Jayalalithaa-led AIADMK is leading in 37 of the total 39 lok Sabha seats from Tamil Nadu. The National Democratic Alliance is leading in two constituencies . Pon Radhakrishnan of the BJP is leading at Kanyakumari while Anbumani Ramdoss (PMK) is ahead of his rivals at Dharmapuri.
The DMK is yet to register lead in any of the constituencies. Fallen on the way to the lok Sabha are the heavyweights of the DMK, including T R Baalu, A Raja, Dayanidhi Maran, Jagat Rakshakan (all former union ministers).
