Hyderabad: In an effort to growing traffic congestion and improve commuting facilities in the rapidly expanding Cyberabad region, the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC), Cyberabad Police, Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) and SHIFT Transport Initiative will jointly organise a three-day mobility exhibition, ‘Cyberabad Moves 2026’, from November 26 to 28 at T-Hub.
The initiative aims to bring together government departments, industry leaders, urban planners, academic institutions, civil society organisations and citizens to discuss the region’s growing mobility challenges and identify ways to improve connectivity and public transport.
Cyberabad Police Commissioner Dr M. Ramesh said mobility should go beyond traffic management and ensure that everyone can travel safely and efficiently as the city expands. He stressed the need for road safety awareness, responsible road behaviour and coordinated efforts among government agencies, businesses, academia and citizens.
Cyberabad Municipal Commissioner G. Srijana said the city's rapid growth required safe, affordable, accessible and sustainable transport systems. She said the Cyberabad Convergence platform was facilitating coordination among various departments and several initiatives were being taken to improve junctions and streets and remove encroachments from footpaths.
The three-day exhibition will feature life-sized maps, data visualisations and interactive exhibits to help visitors understand the city's mobility patterns and commuting challenges. Visitors will be able to locate their neighbourhoods, trace familiar journeys and understand how their daily travel connects with the wider transport network.
The programme will also include leadership dialogues, knowledge sessions, public discussions and a Mobility Innovation Challenge for school and college students and citizens to showcase innovative solutions to urban mobility challenges.
The organisers have invited citizens, students and other stakeholders to participate in the initiative and contribute ideas towards building a safer and more accessible transport system in Cyberabad.
