A 23-year-old woman committed suicide after she had an argument with her husband in South-East Delhi’s Jasola area on Saturday morning. The woman not just killed herself but also tried to kill her daughter who is just six months old. An SDM enquiry has been ordered into the incident as the marriage was less than seven years.
The incident was reported in the wee hours of Saturday. The deceased identified as Kanchan had an argument with her husband Bablu on Friday night. She then went to a separate room along with her six-month-old daughter and locked herself. Bablu left for work on Saturday morning. When Bablu’s father returned home after a walk he kept knocking on the door but no one opened. He then peeped from the window and saw his daughter-in-law hanging from a ceiling fan. He informed the neighbours and the police. Both of them were rushed to nearby hospital where Kanchan was declared brought dead while the daughter is admitted to the hospital. Investigations are underway.
