The EOW office is situated at Mandir Marg in the national Capital and the special cell takes complaints of, as the name suggests, financial crime and cyber fraud cases.
Victims of multi-level-marketing frauds, share market frauds, foreign trade frauds, land and building rackets, offences of forgery, cheating by individuals and non-banking financial companies etc can approach the wing. Apart from lodging their complaints at EOW, consumers can approach the consumer court directly and file for compensation. The only time the consumers can directly got to a consumer court is when the address or the portal they purchases from is still active at the same place and doesn’t need investigation. If investigations are needed then EOW has to be approached first.
