We need people who love

Ajit Kumar Bishnoi

It’s best if you manage to get God’s love as it is permanent, writes Ajit kumar bishnoi

We all need love, period! There is no human being who does not crave for love. This feeling is apparent in small children, who love to be cuddled. As we grow older, we begin to hide our true feelings, but the desire for love never diminishes. love of work is nice but it is no replacement for love from others. WhyIJ Because human beings are essentially social animals; they need human contact. Yes, those living alone generally keep pets, but they are a poor replacement for human beings, as people realise.

look back at your past and you will realise that you preferred those who loved you irrespective of their looks, age, relationship, etc. Unfortunately, one cannot have the same set of persons throughout one’s life; they change. For example, a girl growing up in a family gets an entirely new set of persons after marriage. This is the cosmic design. The stark reality is that one comes alone and goes alone. This sequence is repeated life after life.

let me give some classical examples of love sustaining life. I personally know a couple who loved one another dearly. As happens frequently in such relationships, they wanted a child whom both of them could love. Fate willed otherwise and in spite of their best efforts under expert medical guidance, they did not succeed. This did not deter them; their love for one another did not diminish. This continued till the wife passed away. The husband sought love elsewhere and he found many friends, who were more than willing to spend time with him.

The other example is of two lady teachers of the same school. They were both unmarried and were of about the same age. They were living by themselves. Their parents had passed away. As they were busy in school and had plenty of contact with their students, these two being very devoted teacher, they were managing quite nicely. However, when the time of retirement came near, they began to think about the future. One of them approached the other and explained her likely loneliness after retirement. The other teacher understood what her colleague was hinting at. She jumped at the idea and agreed to live together as soon as they could find a house suitable for both.

The third example is of an aged saint, who was a bachelor. All his life after retirement from service, he travelled all over the country. During his trips, a person got attracted to him; he was much younger and a bachelor like him. They began to travel together. The younger person was well off and made all the arrangements for the elderly saint such that he was comfortable. A time came when the saint became too old to travel. The younger person took a nice house in Rishikesh, which was the favourite place of visit for the saint. They moved in there.

Knowing these facts are essential to lessen the fear of death of self or of near and dear ones. You need others to love; it doesn’t matter who. The same fact holds true for marriage and living in hostels or going abroad. If this is so important, then the wise thing to do is to begin loving those near you unconditionally and wait. You are sure to get their love sooner or later, may be not in every case. God is the safest best if you can manage to get his love. It is permanent.
