Well, fact remains that you are brilliant. You have a fertile mind with vision, foresight, and imagination. In fact, you have an independent, innovative and inventive mind, capable of visualising things far ahead of others. You may perceive things in quick flashes. You also enjoy an excellent communicative skill whereby you can present things with exactitude. All put together qualifies you for extraordinarily performance.
Yet, if you are not able to perform well, it would imply that there are some limiting factors in mind that do not let your potential-self play out to its best. Mind it; one needs to put in quality efforts to score well. Mere physical endeavor would not suffice.
What does quality effort meanIJ It simply implies one-pointedly putting in your whole, free from any distracting influence from within. Remember, what you study needs to be understood and absorbed well, for the subject matter to effortlessly become available to one’s asking. Then only, one would be able to do justice to the questions asked. This, in the first place, calls for one pointed attention on the subject matter while studying. Second, sufficient mind-space should be available to accommodate fresh inputs.
The irony, however, is that young imaginary minds, usually live in their own dream world. Unabated, they keep breeding fanciful ideas. Also, they keep brooding and contemplating upon imprints of scores of indwelling desires carried over from the past. They are also susceptible to be drawn towards tempting influences of the glare and glitters of the outer world. Consequently, like a monkey unmindfully and randomly jumping from one branch of a tree to the other, unwittingly mind keeps flirting around from one dream destination to the other. Mind, thus, remains subject to enough of distraction from within, which does not allow one-pointed attention on the subject matter while studying.
Remember, there are five levels of mind — ignorant, scattered, gathering up, one-pointed, and concentrated. By birth, invariably one begins with an ignorant and a scattered mind, thus coming up with attention deficiency. One would, therefore, need to consciously gather the mind and try to improve one’s focus for quick learning and desired performance. leave aside becoming fully concentrated, which could be accomplished through continued practice over a period of time. Even if one gets into the gathering up process, one may be able to remain focused for a fair amount of time at one go. That will be good enough to score well.
