Following the murder of a Pradhan of village Tila-Shahbazpur on December 22, villagers have claimed that the accused, who are still at large, are threatening them to withdraw the complaint. A local has claimed that police seem to be inactive on the arrest of the accused even when a complaint has been registered against them in loni Border Police Station.
The deceased, identified as Pradhan Omvir, was shot by two assailants who intercepted him on Tuesday night. The motive behind the murder remains a mystery, as neither the accused was arrested nor any investigation was undertaken, claimed a local villager. Voicing against the police’s ignorance, the villagers organised a local panchayat on Saturday and protested against police’s inaction against criminals.
