Nikhil Savani, co-convener of Surat unit of PAAS, has gone on indefinite fast with a purpose to release PAAS convener Hardik Patel who is in jail sedition and other cases. Announcing his fast agitation through a letter to Gujarat Chief Minister, Governor and Chief Secretary, Savani said that the people in power are misusing their power and refrained Patidars of their legal rights.
“I have no option but to resort on fast in my own house as our democratic right of expression of freedom has been snatched by the Government,” he said in the letter.
