After targeting Union Minister of Steel Beni Prasad Verma, the Samajwadi Party has now trained its gun on Union Coal Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal and wants his ouster from the UPA Government.

Senior Cabinet Minister Shivpal Singh Yadav said if Jaiswal refused to resign, the Prime Minister should dismiss him from the Ministry.

Addressing a Press conference at the party’s State office here on Saturday, the senior Cabinet Minister said that Jaiswal was involved in the coalgate and would be held guilty in an inquiry.

“The name of the Minister came in the coal scam.... He will not come clean in the scam. Due to him, the Prime Minister’s name also cropped up in the scam. The Prime Minister should first give him lessons so that he can take the responsibility of a Minister,” Shivpal Yadav said, and added: “The Prime Minister must immediately dismiss Jaiswal.”

The UP PWD and Irrigation Minister’s outburst came after Jaiswal, on Friday, reportedly accused the SP Government of misusing the Central funds for distribution of laptops and tablets.

Yadav also lambasted Jaiswal for advising the business community to follow the developmental model of Gujarat.

“Only the top corporate houses are getting maximum advantage in Gujarat.... Various reports, including that of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG), suggest that the economic condition of Gujarat is not good.
