Believe it or not, plants need extra care during monsoons. While rains are good for plants, any excess water means that the plant will die. Here's what one can do to take care of Areca palm.

The good thing about this plant is that it can stay indoors and outside in a pot. Make sure to water it only when the soil drys out. If the plant is inside and not near sunlight, one needs to put it out once every three-four weeks. Trim any stem that is drying. The areca palm is a heavy feeder and requires fertilising but do not fertilise during winters.
