Hitting out at the Samajwadi Party Government, Bahujan Samaj Party president Mayawati gave ‘zero’ number to Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on law and order front and demanded a CBI probe into charges of corruption against State Mining Minister Gayatri Prasad Prajapati.
Giving ‘zero’ out of 100 for the works done by the Akhilesh Yadav Government in 2014, Mayawati said that law and order had reached such a low that women were afraid to come out of their houses even in daytime.
“Uttar Pradesh is a fit case to impose President’s rule and the Governor should recommend it at the earliest,” Mayawati told reporters here on Saturday. “If you ask me, I will give ‘zero’ out of 100 to the State Government because of its failure to control crime. This Government has failed the people. If a girl can be raped inside a police station, it shows the prevailing lawlessness in Uttar Pradesh,” the BSP supremo said.
She said corruption was rampant in the Samajwadi Party rule and Ministers and legislators of the ruling party were busy in minting money.
