A warning by the Intelligence Bureau that the outlawed CPI (Maoist) is hatching a plan to target Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, has created apprehensions among the State police officials.
According to the informed sources the Intelligence has sent a warning from Delhi to the State police that the Maoists were planning to attack the Chief Minister in the national capital in the garb of the journalists.

The Intelligence has warned that there many lacuna in the security arrangements at Andhra Pradesh Bhavan as a large number of people from the State visit the place everyday.
Though Naidu has been on the hit lists of Maoists from the day he had become the Chief Minister in 1995 and specially after his Government had launched a crackdown against the then People’s War Group and almost succeeded in assassinating him in October 2003, they have renewed their threat after more than 30 Maoists were killed in a joint operation by the Odisha and Andhra Pradesh police in October this year. The ultras had also warned that the other family members of Naidu including his son N lokesh were also on their hit list. Their security was tightened following the threats.
