The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday said the BJP had inducted Kiran Bedi as none of its leaders would be able to give Arvind Kejriwal a tough fight in the upcoming Delhi polls.
Referring to the recent induction of Kiran Bedi and Shazia Ilmi in the BJP, AAP’s spokesperson Ashutosh said, “They know that only one of us is worthy of putting up a tough fight so they lured people who have worked with us closely. Despite many senior and experienced leaders in the party, the BJP has no faith in themselves.”
Senior leader Yogendra Yadav accused Bedi of sidelining the issue of giving full statehood to Delhi. Bedi on Friday said that attaining full statehood for the national Capital was not a “main” issue for the BJP. Yadav said that this sidelining of an issue which has been used in BJP’s manifesto for 20 years shows how the party is one by one shying away from their poll promises.
