South Delhi Police claimed to have solved the homicide of a 55-year-old woman in Khirki Extension. Police state that Madhu was murdered by her daughter-in-law for reprimanding her.
Bristling with anger, 25-year-old Rachna struck her mother-in-law on Thursday evening and dressed up the crime scene to look like a break-in. Additional DCP, South district, Pramod Kushwah, said that Madhu had blunt force head injuries and was declared brought dead by AIIMS doctors.
The investigating officer found inconsistencies in her statement. Born in Jaipur and a graduate in Political Science from Delhi University, her father was a draughtsman in the Military Engineering Services. She married Deepak Dawar, younger son of the victim, in 2010.
