After an intense manhunt, the police nabbed the accused from the powerloom town of Bhiwandi in Thane district.

Prachi and Pawar had been friends for over three years before she severed her links with the boy early this year. During the course of this year, Pawar had proposed to her, a proposal she had spurned. However, Pawar continued to pursue his love interest with her and harass her.
