While the participants of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa performed on the theme of Filmy Masala this week, the hosts for the show — Kapil Sharma and Manish Paul — performed a classic qawwali act on hai agar dushman. Adding their comic touch to the song, the duo integrated names of the contestants into the lyrics and presented a full blown qawwali battle!
Wild card entrant Sana Saeed, who has impressed the judges with her wild moves in Chikni Chameli, took to other fast paced numbers this week. She paid tribute to yesteryear danseuse Helen.
looking like a 60s’ queen, Sana danced to three Helen songs. All the judges had only good things to say about her performance. “No one can ever be as good a dancer as Helen was, but I must say that you came pretty close,” Karan told her.
Madhuri told her choreographer Tushar that her eyes were all on Sana. Madhuri said, Sana reminded her of her favorite song from the Helen era Oh Jaane Jaa and she promptly got up to sing the song herself. Madhuri said Helen has been a great inspiration for her dancing.
