“They are only waiting for death certificate and cancelled cheque to settle the claims,” he added. As many as 148 people were killed and close to 200 were injured in the train mishap in Kanpur district on November 20.  The lIC said it has extended concessions and relaxations to policyholders affected by the mishap.
