launching a scathing attack on the Congress party, Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Saturday said that India needs a ‘sevak’ for its people not an arrogant Government.

Targeting Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia for cancelling an award ceremony after realising that Gujarat has bagged the top awards, the Gujarat Chief Minister said, “Congress leaders are arrogant. I think it is the Congress trait that has made him arrogant.”

“Congress one point programme is how to establish the ‘son’ (party vice-president Rahul Gandhi). Nation is secondary for them only the son’s career must be safe,” he added.Assuring development in this region, Modi appealed to the mass, “Rajmata Scindia’s blessings have been with us. Make BJP win here and I take responsibility of development in this area.”

Meanwhile, praising the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-lead BJP Government in the State, Modi said, “Shivraj built more roads, contributed to power and irrigation in 10 years as compared to 50 years of the Congress rule.”

Modi also highlighted the concern shown by the MP CM for the farmers, saying that MP Chief Minister was worried as if there was suffering in his own family and cancelled party rallies to reach out to the hailstorm-affected farmers.
