Homoeopathy and cancer

Discard pre-conceived notions and don’t disregard homoeopathy in cancer treatment, says Dr PANKAJ AGGARWAl

In today’s age, we are more prone to a diseased life than a healthy one. In order to lead a healthy life, we need to cure these diseases, but more importantly, we need to find the root of these diseases and do way with them for good. Homoeopathy, also known as pseudoscience, is a science that cures deadly diseases, such as cancer, without surgical interventions and in the most painless method. But before that, it is important to understand what cancer is and how it spreads.

What is cancerIJ

The term cancer is derived from a latin word which means crab. Just as the crab is capable of exerting a vice-like grip on the host, similar is the nature of cancer.

By the combination of various phenomena, one type of cell becomes capable of disobeying or escaping from the control mechanisms that usually keep cells growing in their normal, orderly way. Thus, the key to understanding the nature of cancer is to find out what normally keeps our cells in order, and how some cells are able to escape from that regimentation.

What causes cancerIJ

It is not always true that only physical factors are responsible for triggering cancer. A person’s emotional, psychological and lifestyle habits are also equally responsible. From disobeying cells to emotional suppression, and from eating in plastic dishes to passive smoking, every small bad habit can help a tumour grow in your body.

Major causes

Fatty foods: The average diet still contains 40 per cent fat. Fat was the first dietary constituent to be linked with cancer. However, high intake of vegetables and fruits shows a consistent inverse relationship with cancer of the larynx, lung, food pipe and stomach.

Tobacco: There is no denying the fact that tobacco is one of the major factors that causes cancer of mouth, throat, lungs, stomach, kidney, larynx, bladder and pancreas. It is also highly advised that one should not do passive smoking, as it is even more harmful than regular smoking.

Alcohol: If alcohol is jointly taken with tobacco, it results in cancers of oral cavity, pharynx, larynx and esophagus. Alcohol alone is implicated in cirrhosis (liver cancer), and may contribute to some cancers of breasts and large bowel.

Radiations, including X-ray: In 1930-40, a large number of women were exposed to heavy doses of X-ray to look for signs of tuberculosis of the lungs. However, it was found that these women developed the symptoms of breast cancer. An average dose of X-ray used for diagnostic purpose is estimated to be about as dangerous as smoking six cigarettes.

Electricity: If you spend most of your time working with or close to electrical appliances, supply lines or equipments, chances of developing cancer is considerably high.

Solar exposure: The 1996 Harvard report on cancer prevention concluded that over 905 of malignant melanoma can be attributed to solar radiation. Uncertainties remain even though it is widely assumed that the exposure to solar radiation also accounts for the majority of cases of basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma.

Infection: Around 16 per cent of the worldwide incidence of cancer is due to infection. For developed countries, the proportion is 9 per cent, and for developing countries, 21 per cent.

Homoeopathic treatment

Unlike chemotherapy, wherein a patient may develop a tumour even after a successful treatment, in homoeopathy our aim is to remove the disease from the physical and as well as emotional sphere. Thus, while treating, it is important to understand what emotional state the patient is in and his support system.

After understanding the emotional circumstances of a patient, we then look at the physical aspects. Without surgical intervention, the sweet pills of homeopathy can cure the disease.

However, early stage management should be done only by homoeopathy. Homoeopathic treatment can compliment allopathic treatment. In fact, if a person is on a terminal stage, homoeopathy can act as a soothing treatment.

The outcome of a homoeopathic treatment depends on two main factors. The first remains that the selection of homoeopathic medicines has to be correct. Secondly, the person must respond positively to the treatment. If these two factors are appropriate, then nothing can stop the person from the path of recovery. The response of a person can be monitored within 15 days of the first dose.
