Ranbir Kapoor is set to play football  for a charitable trust — Playing for Humanity which is a property of All Stars Football Club. The team will play against the Indian national cricket team headed by Virat Kohli.

Ranbir has been an ardent fan of this sport. “I have been passionate about football. I played for the under-14 and the under-16 tournaments as well as at district level. Every school should encourage the sport in India at a young age,” he says.

Talking about this initiative, Kapoor feels: “I’m fortunate to be one of the founders of the club. Bunty Walia had this idea that all the profits go to the charity organisation and I think it’s a great cause. We have had a great time.” Ranbir will be in Delhi next week for the warm up matches. The final is on the March 30, 2013 in Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
