Haryana Government removes Rocky Mittal

PNS

Following his remarks against Haryana bureaucrats, the State Government has shunted out Rocky Mittal, who was publicity adviser to Chief Minister Manohar lal Khattar.

Haryana folk singer Mittal, who was appointed publicity advisor nearly four months ago, had recently said that a few senior IAS officers, who were heading ‘cream posts’ during the previous Congress regime, have been trying to mislead Khattar for their own interests.

He had said that the Chief Minister is surrounded by a few corrupt bureaucrats and he will expose them in his songs.  I am preparing a list of senior officers having a ‘bad image’ and will name them publicly, Mittal had said.

Mittal, a fan of Prime Minister Narendra Modi sang songs in the latter’s praise in the 2014 lok Sabha elections.  He had also played a great role for BJP in Haryana Assembly elections.

The singer had also sung songs in the state’s golden jubilee event on November 1 last year. Modi was chief guest at the golden jubilee event on November 1, a year-long celebration that started in Haryana which completed 50 years of its formation.

Reached for comments on his removal, Mittal told the mediapersons that his fight is against corruption and he did nothing wrong.

Though I did not get any official information, I have vacated my office in Haryana Secretariat and surrendered my official car, he added.
