There are some mahavastu remedies that parents should incorporate in their houses to help enhance their kids’ personalities, says Vastushastri Khushdeep Bansal
Raising a baby, especially for the first time, is both exciting and challenging. It goes without saying that becoming parents is the one of the greatest blessings from God. Basically, this is a time for developing bonds of love, affection and care with the newborn that will last a lifetime, providing the child with all the inner resources to develop his/her self-esteem and the ability to relate positively with others. It is also the time for parents to begin to discover who this new person really is. Each child is unique in his or her own way, and it is imperative that parents learn to understand, love, respect, support and encourage the unique characteristics and abilities of each child.
It is a fact that parents, while welcoming the newborn, are so happy and enthusiastic that they take the utmost care and precautions to redo their homes or rooms for a better health and future of the baby. Documented and scientific research in vastushastra has come up with a few dos and don’ts for decorating the house for the newborn:
Of the 16 vastu zones in your house, the north of the northeast (NNE) is the zone of health and immunity. Avoid shades of red, orange, golden and yellow in this area. Instead, you can place a wooden pyramid or a medicinal plant like tulsi to enhance your baby’s health and immunity.
According to the theory of Panchtattva or the five basic elements of nature in vastu shastra — earth, water, fire, air and space — you can use different shades of pink, orange and red if your baby’s bedroom is located in the southern part of the house. However, remove shades of blue and black from there, particularly from the south of the southeast (SSE) vastu zone for your baby’s better health, growth and development.
Prefer shades of blue and grey if your bedroom is located in the western part of the house. Here you can also use wallpapers with round and square shapes. Similarly, try to use shades of blue and green in your bedroom if it is located in the northern segment of the house. In this segment, wavy and oval are the preferred shapes for the interiors.
However, when you learn the modern and refined vastu techniques and remedies offered by mahavastu based on the traditional vastu principles, along with its practical case studies at the various mahavastu courses, you can decide for yourself the most suitable colours and shapes for your baby’s bedroom. It’s a fact that it can change the life and future of your baby by making him/her healthier, happier and a more confident individual, as he/she grows up.
As far as effective vastu remedies are concerned to strengthen your bond with the baby and help him inculcate and respect your family values and traditions, you can place your photographs or those of your parents with the baby, or of the baby with the entire family in the southwest (SW) direction.
Avoid placing calendars portraying the photographs of babies in the south of the southwest (SSW), the east of the southeast (ESE) and the west of the northwest (WNW) vastu zones. Also, avoid keeping clothes of the newborn in the south of the southwest (SSW), as it could lead to health problems in your baby.
If you have bought toys for the newborn, place them in the east of the northeast (ENE) vastu zone. You can also place them in the south of the southeast (SSE), south (S), southwest (SW) and the west vastu zones. Avoid hammering nails into the walls located particularly in the northeast and the southwest vastu zones of your house to avoid unexpected health problems in your baby.
Remove the inverter or generator if placed in the north of the northeast (NNE) vastu zone in your house. Instead, place any green plant there as it will help avoid cough, cold and breathing problems in the baby.
Besides the above, by applying the modern and refined techniques of vastu, one can control the behaviour of children as this is the most essential element in a human being to survive in this world and lead a happy and successful life. Mostly children of today, right from the infant stage, show aggressiveness and adamant behaviour. As a parent, it is essential to ensure that children are groomed in such a way that they use their energies in a creative and constructive manner as they grow up year after year.
There are some wonderful remedies in the modern form of vastu or mahavastu which parents should incorporate in their houses to help control the behaviour of their kids, which will enhance their personalities in a positive way, making them all the more successful and confident in their lives:
If you happen to find a brass tortoise from a toy or gift shop, buy it and place it on the floor in the west vastu zone. The face of the tortoise should be towards the north.
You can also place a Nandi Bull on the floor in the southwest (SW) vastu zone or a a pair of galloping red horses in the south vastu zone of your house. However, all these figures should face the centre of the building or your house. Hanging a picture or a painting of a village scene on the wall of the west of the southwest (WSW) vastu zone works wonders, making your child calm, composed and with a cheerful personality.
This kind of behaviour, if developed in a child from childhood, will help him concentrate more on studies, as he grows up and goes to school or college, make him mentally and physically strong, do well in his career and become a successful and happy individual in the future.
