Four alleged sympathisers of a terrorist organisation Daesh arrested in Hyderabad by the National Investigation Agency were shifted to New Delhi on Saturday.
They were produced before criminal court in Nampally and then sent to Delhi on a transit warrant. They include 24 year old Nafees Khan, 54 year old Mohammed Shareef, an electrician, Obaidullah Kahn, a private employer and Abu Anas, a software engineer.
Police said Abu Anas was originally from Rajasthan and came to Hyderabad few months ago and was employed in an IT firm TWG International in Abids area of the city. NIA said that the group had procured explosive material ammonium nitrate, wires, timers and other material to prepare an improvised explosive device.
“These individuals were planning and making efforts to establish a channel to procure weapons/explosive, identify locations to organise training camps including training to handle fire arms, motivate new recruits to target police officers and foreigners”, a NIA release said.
Meanwhile Hyderabad police has sounded an alert ahead of Republic Day and started a cordon and search operations at many places.
