A two-day national workshop on the use of social media was inaugurated at Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) on Saturday.
The workshop was organised by IIMC in collaboration with “Shashik Foundation”. Speaking on the occasion, Professor Rakesh Sinha of Delhi University laid emphasis that media should connect the news with social cause so as to serve the larger interest of society.
“The more society will connect to media the more benefit both will have,” said Sinha. IIMC Director KG Suresh also addressed the gathering on the occasion. Present on the occasion were academician Dr Geeta Bhatt, Dr Mahendra Kapoor, Manoj Sinha and others.
