A duo was arrested for allegedly duping people after promising that they would “show” them god, police said. The accused were arrested from Old Delhi and were identified as Nadir Hussain (50) and Abdul Rehman (28), members of what police called the "meetha thug" gang.
They used to allegedly tell gullible people they would "show god" to them and charged money for that, police said. "Their activities came to light when a complaint was received from the lahori Gate area that the duo had duped a man of Rs 22,000 by promising to show him god," said DCP (North), Madhur Verma.
