Calculus of Geopolitics Altered!

Team Agenda

Something extraordinary is unfolding across the global stage. Nations are discarding the status quo and stepping away from the conventional diplomacy. Reconciliation is out; retaliation is in. From missiles to fighter jets, the skies are now being painted red to gain an upper hand — from West Asia to South Asia — the contours of geopolitics are changing.

The post-Cold War order is under stress. American hegemony — already waning — takes a further hit under Trump’s belligerent moves, as China grows more assertive and Russia watches, calculating from the sidelines. The old rules of engagement no longer apply, and a new, volatile balance is emerging — forged not in negotiations, but in aerial combat and open defiance.

And make no mistake, the world today is way different from what it used to be. The power equations are precariously balanced and continuously being tilted to suit their interests. If Israel miscalculated Iran’s vulnerability or the Islamabad made the mistake of miscalculating Indian resolve to strike back, they pay the price. No one is taking things lying down for sure.

This is street fight diplomacy for you. What makes things more dangerously volatile is the reckless behaviour of the super powers. The trio of the US, China and Russia who do not mind flexing their muscle risking the retaliations.

Behind the carefully crafted façade of preserving global harmony lies a ruthless pursuit of national interest and ego. It’s a geopolitical performance — one where the powerful play peacemakers, while the rest of the world pays the price. Their peace. Their harmony. Everyone else’s chaos.
