Caught up in a long drawn civil litigation, a young man came asking: “Sir, will I be able to win the ongoing legal tussle, and if so, by when? The ongoing trends do not look favourable.” “It will take some time, but eventually it will get adjudicated in your favour.” I answered. When he finally won around the timeline indicated, having developed faith, he opened up one day.
“I dream making it big in life. I draw inspiration from the life of first generation big wigs, and enjoy reading their stories. Will my dream get fulfilled, and if so, by when? I have great faith in Lord Krishna and keep making offerings in the temples every now and then. Will my prayers be ever heard?”
Well, there is nothing wrong in dreaming as it helps reaching heights one is capable of, as they serve as focus to reach an objective. But everybody’s dream doesn’t get fulfilled. It is good that you have faith in Lord Krishna. If Lord Krishna grants boons against offering made in his temple, a large majority would not meet failure. More important is developing Krishna’s consciousness — the faculty of discriminate intelligence. That will help you discern between ‘what you want’ and ‘what is worth doing’, and accordingly pick up right lead. The probability of success then becomes stronger. The people of your imagination you adore, would have attained success, as with full faith they would have made optimum use of their discriminating intelligence. Rather than stuck to their dream destination, they would have been focussed in their present, which laid down the ground for their success ahead.
Here, it also needs to be appreciated that every being is born unique — each with one’s own indwelling potential and weaknesses — coming as they may as Karmic carryover from the past. You can’t draw parallel with anybody else.
Even twins are not similar, in so far as their traits are concerned. So, it is important to figure out one’s own unique character before trying to replicate others. “Can you explain my uniqueness?” he asked.
Born in Scorpio lagna, it brings in a good commercial instinct. Lagna sub-lord Moon, incidentally the 9th lord identified with destiny, occupies the 11th house, which signifies fulfilment of desires. 5th sub-lord identified with merits accrued during the past birth happens to be Mercury. It is tenanted in the constellation owned by benevolent Jupiter, the 5th lord, posited in the 3rd house marked with self-efforts. Uranus, if ever in dignity, is marked with something extraordinary, and that occupies the lagna sign. It is beautifully aligned with both Jupiter and Moon. Such a good connection of the lagna, 5th and 9th, implies that merits acquired from the past is immense. This, read together with placement of Uranus in lagna implies that given the right effort, you carry the potential to make it big in life.
When the question of right effort comes, it becomes important to figure out negative habit tendencies as well. For, that too, forms part of one’s unique character, which may play spoil sport with your potential. The first to make note of is that the Sun is opposite mischievous Neptune, which makes you stuck to fanciful dream perceptions, often distanced from ground realities. You may not realise truth on its first appearance, and may continue to move on hope against hope till pushed to the wall. Lagna lord Mars aspects Moon posited in the Virgo sign. It brings in the sense of ‘I am the only right person syndrome’, as if others were not appreciative of his intelligence. If ever his view point is not appreciated, he may go wild. If that would not be enough, Mars extends its 8th aspect on Jupiter, which points to his inflated ego. That further binds him to his self-defined beliefs and perceptions, and not open to look beyond for a reality check. It becomes difficult for him to digest any contrarian advisory.
Many a times he was advised not to behave as a young man in a hurry. He should act with restraint, if ever time was not conducive. If he handles things patiently, success will come with time. He then stopped taking counsel from elders. But when put to a difficult situation, his indwelling seeds of fear and insecurity comes into play as would Sun placed adverse to Saturn mean. Only then he starts looking for guidance.
To sum up, he can make it to his dream destination, if he tries to address his inherent weaknesses.
