Astroturf : As you sow, so shall you reap

The other day, a parent of a girl suffering from a serious psychiatric disorder, finding it difficult to manage, brought her seeking guidance. Their first question was: “What is in store of our daughter’s destiny that she has to go through such an ordealIJ Is our family under the spell of black magic that she has not been able to come out of her problems despite medical interventionIJ And if so, what puja do you recommend that she becomes normalIJ”

Well, in the first place, please note that psychiatric disorders do not happen overnight. Invariably, there has to be long drawn history of continued unpleasantness, which makes a deep imprint in the mind and psyche of the victim. Therefore, there is no scope for a quick fix solution to the problem either.

Bear in mind; since the 3rd trimester in a mother’s womb, child begins picking up impressions of what goes around. Whatever the child gathers from the environment till the age of eight, makes a deep imprint in his/her mind and psyche. The carryover effect of such imprints keep playing from within for long till consciously resolved.  If per chance, there happens to be absence of love, which every child naturally longs for, s/he feels let down. Over a period of time they develop a sense of something wanting in them is why they are not being cared. Evidently then, unknowingly though, they develop a sense of identity crisis. Such children become susceptible to develop psychiatric disorder as they remain under continued spell of stress. Following which, their hormonal balance gets disturbed, which in turn, further aggravates their stress. The person thus gets caught up in a circuitous web, difficult to come out. And then, given a trigger, and not been able to digest the situation, their thought process become incoherent, necessitating medical intervention. And for no fault of theirs, they become a victim of circumstances.

So does it seem to have happened with this girl too, as would astrological analysis of the child’s horoscope imply. Restive Rahu in the 4th sign, identified with domestic atmosphere, read together with the lord of sign Moon in debilitation, clearly speaks of unpleasantness prevailing in the family. Incidentally, Moon happens to be the natural signifying planet for mother, which is in conflict with Mercury, the planet identified with intelligence. Further to that, the 4th cusp sub-lord Venus is locked in adverse formation with Rahu. Again, Venus occupies the lunar constellation owned by Jupiter the 8th lord, marked with the girl’s difficulties. Here again, Jupiter locks horns with Neptune. It implies that the mother would be having an unpleasant life, carrying a sense of victimhood. And finding it hard to resolve, unmindfully she began carrying peculiar beliefs, as if those envious of them would be playing foul with them. That is what made her ask whether her family has been subjected to black magic.

Coming to the father, its naturally signifying planet, the Sun is ill-disposed off to Uranus. This, read together with presence of headless Ketu and mischievous Neptune in the 9th house, implies an erratic person known for his unpredictable and at times unseemly behaviour. The 9th sub-lord Mercury occupies the lunar constellation owned by Rahu.

To sum up, parents of the child would be at odds with each other. Being witness to continued spell of infighting, made an adverse bearing on the mind and psyche of the child. Now looking at the chart from child’s perspective, the main marker is Saturn, the lagna sub-lord in debilitation in the 12th. Saturn is placed averse to Uranus, which afflicts the Sun. It implies that the child has become victim of the circumstances. And if that would not be enough, Mars crossing path with Neptune, makes the child susceptible to developing inferiority complex. No wonder, as Uranus in transit crossed over natal Sun; progressed Sun came on Uranus axis; and transit Saturn closed up with natal Moon, close to her 15th year, she developed psychiatric disorder.

Now coming down to remedial measures, she needs proper medical care. No amount of belief driven puja can get into her head to correct her disoriented thought process. Instead of finding fault with unknown inimical factors, better, the parents make necessary amend in their own conduct, and provide loving ground needed to help the girl come out of her problems. And then, the girl and her parents need to be subjected to regular counselling. I am sure, the girl will register significant improvement in the coming days.
