Life doesn’t necessarily move to our asking, and it can’t move without facing challenges, as no movement can take place without meeting resistance. Many a times the challenges are grave, difficult to withstand. We are tempted to seek remedial measure. A godman when approached, will advise you to offer prayer to God, as He oversees all actions on our part and accordingly rewards or punishes us. So, He alone could mitigate our sufferings and help us meet even our aspirational urges. A practising pundit will suggest belief driven puja. Ignorant people often get tempted to take a chance believing that good if it works, but even if it doesn’t work, at least would do no harm. But how would it work in real terms, arises the question?
Going by Ancient Indian philosophic perception, self-caused disturbance at the creative matrix, a formless eternal reality, excited energy streams. Following random mutation of those energies, progressively evolved the manifest world with all its enormity and diversity. The modern scientific perception too almost runs on similar lines. It simply implies that the Creative matrix would be a unified pool of energy in equilibrated state, which set off the creation chain. And it looks tenable, because energy and matter have been scientifically proved to be interconvertible. Human body, is at subtle level, nothing but an inseparable web of energy patterns sourced to nature. In the process a self-evolved system came into place, which obviously has a primordial-source, the manifest plural world, with lot of intervening dynamisms playing in between at perceptible and even unseen level. All set into a unified organism, where all field players are framed into an interdependent mechanism, have been driving the world individually and collectively. So, all about the living world is nothing but play and interplay of cosmic energies, dispassionately available in equal proportion to all. These energies are not expected to have discriminative abilities like human beings. In fact, the system as such is so made out that human beings are driven by cause-effect chain. So, our destiny indicators are a result of our own doings and undoing that are imprinted in our minds in the form of thought seeds. There remains no scope for any external agency ever overseeing and administering our life cycle. In this backdrop, it is difficult to digest that cosmic energies could receive and respond to individual prayers. Nor would a pundit be able to invade our mind space to make any amends. As discussed in the previous three issues, correction if any, in the course of life, could be made through our conscious efforts only.
To facilitate making necessary amend, one needs to look within. Identify and acknowledge inherent weaknesses, address them through fresh educative inputs, and expand the vision to come out with one’s best. A case in point is that of a college going lad who is otherwise brilliant. He was doing exceedingly well in schools. But the moment, he stepped out of guided home atmosphere to live on his own, he was exposed to the tempting influences of the seeming world. His sense of freedom gaining ground, he began moving like an unbridled horse and with that the inherent limiting tendencies also came into full play. That diluted his potential side substantially. His worried father, looking for some belief driven puja as remedial measure, sought my advice. When I suggested that his son should better take charge of himself and address his inherent weaknesses rather than going for such puja, it was difficult for him to digest.
Let us now look at the astrological pointers to the guy’s limiting tendencies. His Taurus lagna makes him habitually suspicious, often creating self-doubt. Moon tenanted in a dual sign Pisces, speaks of a vacillating mind engaged in conflicting thoughts. Mercury, the planet identified with intelligence placed adverse to Uranus makes him eccentric and opinionated. All put together doesn’t let him remain focused to his priority preferences. The Sun placed adverse to Rahu makes him often dissipate his energies towards unproductive ends. With Mars tenanted in the 4th house placed adverse to Jupiter points to his inflated ego, which binds him to self-assumed beliefs and perceptions, and not open to look beyond for a reality check. Mars placed adverse to Neptune suggests that when faced with difficult situation, he may fall into a guilt trap, and develop inferiority complex. Once he address these weaknesses, the immense potential within will play out unhindered to his advantage.
